The Great American Roadtrip is a mockumentary that follows Luca Wunderbaum, a multi–award-nominated, self-proclaimed professional traveller whose so-called tips and tricks have a habit of getting everyone more lost—and into more ridiculous situations—than when they started. Confident, charming, and wildly unqualified, Luca believes he is uniquely suited to guide audiences across America, even as each decision sends the journey further off the rails.

To keep the chaos in check, a seasoned television producer is assigned to shepherd Luca and his crew across the country while filming the first season of The Swiss Traveller. What begins as a straightforward 3,500-mile road trip quickly devolves into a battle between experience and incompetence, planning and impulse. As an inept host and an increasingly exasperated producer traverse the nation together, they accidentally capture pure mockumentary gold—proving that the best travel stories are often born from everything going wrong.
